Benicadell summit from Gaianes

The small village of Gaianes is reach either by following the CV700 from the coast of the Costa Blanca inland for some 50km (about 1.25hr) or by taking the A7 motorway inland from Alicante until you can exit onto the CV700 and follow this for a few kilometers to the E to reach the village. |

Hi could anyone comment on the scrambles for this route please? Particularly the section where you scramble around the mountain – what’s the exposure/technicality on this please? Many thanks! Vicki
There is a much easier route to the summit which is waymarked (Y/W) from the parking above Gaianes and leads up strenuously but without technical difficulty to the summit where there is a very short section of scrambling which can be avoided if you wish. Return the same way.
Thank you for replying. We are probably doing the route from Beniatjar now, which we know still entails the summit scramble. Will assess that when we get to that point!
