Really lovely varied walk with super views which we did from Monte Pego, where we were staying, and did in the opposite direction, just following the GPS trail. There was one point where the GPS trail deviated from the walk: after rounding the eastern end of the ridge and just past the quarry, the GPS trail turned right over rough ground, whereas the walk continued along the track, and then turned right up a path to the picnic area.
We really enjoyed walking along the acequia, and continued along it when the main walk turned left. This led us along a green/white signed path on the opposite side of the valley, rejoining the main walk at the col. Then down to Benimeli where we enjoyed some refreshments in the cafe in the square, before the final stretch back round to Monte Pego.
